ORAL HEALTH THERAPISTS
Rachel Andersson graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy in 2009. Dual trained as a Dental Therapist & Dental Hygienist, Rachel works within the dental team to provide oral hygiene, preventive procedures and education to all patients and aspects of clinical dentistry to children aged 0-18 years.
Rachel strongly believes in creating a safe dental home for her patients and aims to make a close and positive relationship with them. Treating each patient like her own family.
Rachel has a caring, friendly and empathetic nature. She looks forward to helping you take care of your oral health needs.
Caitlin graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2018. Since then she has been working full time as a Dental Therapist and Dental Hygienist. Sheis passionate about treating children and breaking down barriers of dental anxiety. Highlights of her dental experience so far include volunteering in the Northern Territory, participating in children’s dental therapy and oral health promotion services in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities of East Arnhem land.
Prior to working as an OHT she worked as a Dental Assistant for over eight years, which has essentially formed the foundation of her dental career.
Outside of work she loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys staying active, being outdoors, travelling, snowboarding and spending quality time at the beach.
Shari began her dental career as a trainee nurse in Brunswick Holistic Dental Centre in June 2004. Like a duck to water, Shari excelled in her new role and quickly became the practice principals nurse, then head nurse. However her ability to multi task, the care and affection she shows towards patients (and staff), her attention to detail and her infectious, magnetic personality meant it wasn’t long before she was running the place!
I was an associate dentist in BHDC at the time and was lucky enough to witness the rising star and decided there and then that whatever I did in dental, it was critical to have Shari involved! I am lucky enough to have worked with Shari ever since.
As well as running the business behind the scenes, Shari is especially in her element front of house, liaising with patients and staff, ensuring everyone is happy and well looked after. The beating heart of the practice, her deep sense of community and her passion for the job is evident in the warmth and affection she shows towards everyone.
Outside of work Shari is super social, maintaining strong connections with friends and family, plays (and coaches) hockey and touch footy, and enjoys spending time with her family.
